This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service. It applies to your use of The Construct (the "App"), including anything you instruct or authorize its Agents to do. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms. Violating this AUP is a material breach.
1. You are responsible for what you direct the App to do
The App can take actions on your behalf with the tools, files, accounts, and credentials you provide. You may not use the App, and may not configure or direct its Agents, to do anything you would not be permitted to do yourself. You are responsible for the autonomy, access, and credentials you grant and for all resulting Agent Actions.
2. Prohibited uses
You will not use the App, and will not direct its Agents, to:
Illegal or infringing activity
Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
Infringe or misappropriate intellectual property, trade secrets, or privacy/publicity rights.
Generate or distribute material that is unlawful, defamatory, or fraudulent.
Harm to people
Harass, threaten, stalk, defraud, or harm others.
Create or distribute malware, ransomware, or other malicious code.
Produce sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that exploits or endangers minors.
Generate content intended to incite violence or unlawful discrimination, or to facilitate self-harm.
Security and unauthorized access
Access, probe, scan, or interfere with any system, network, account, or data without authorization.
Circumvent authentication, rate limits, paywalls, or technical protections of any service.
Use the App to conduct attacks, credential stuffing, scraping in violation of a site's terms, or unauthorized automation against third parties.
Deception and abuse at scale
Send spam or bulk unsolicited messages, or impersonate any person or entity.
Generate disinformation or deceptive content designed to mislead, or astroturf.
High-risk reliance
Rely on Output, without qualified human review, for decisions that require professional judgment or that could cause physical, financial, legal, or other significant harm (including medical, legal, financial, employment, or safety-critical decisions).
Misuse of the App itself
Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the App except as the Terms or law permit.
Circumvent trial, license, or beta-access controls, or share access codes.
Use the App in a way that violates the terms or acceptable-use policies of any AI Provider or other third-party service you connect.
3. Third-party provider rules
When the App uses an AI Provider or other service through your account, that provider's usage policies also apply, and you are responsible for complying with them. A use that is permitted here may still be prohibited by your provider, and vice versa; you must satisfy both.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including suspending or terminating access, without liability. Because the App is local-first, you control it directly; this AUP defines the boundaries of permitted use, and you bear responsibility for staying within them.
